Wiring Conversions
Weigh-Tronix ↔ Dinamica Generale
The SPM load cell connectors for Weigh-Tronix and Dinamica Generale are physically interchangeable, but the internal wire colors are different. Use the following mapping:
Function | Weigh-Tronix | Dinamica Generale |
---|---|---|
Input + | Green | Red |
Input - | Black | Black |
Output + | White | Green |
Output - | Red | White |
Dinamica Generale ↔ Digi-Star
When connecting a Dinamica Generale load cell to a Digi-Star system (or vice versa), the white and green wires must be swapped to ensure the correct polarity. If not swapped, the scale will display a negative weight.
Function | Digi-Star | Dinamica Generale |
---|---|---|
Input + | Red | Red |
Input - | Black | Black |
Output + | White | Green |
Output - | Green | White |
Weigh-Tronix ↔ Digi-Star
When connecting a Weigh-Tronix load cell to a Digi-Star system, follow this mapping:
Function | Weigh-Tronix | Digi-Star |
---|---|---|
Input + | Green | Red |
Input - | Black | Black |
Output + | White | White |
Output - | Red | Green |
Troubleshooting
If the scale shows “out of range” or reads negative, re-check wire mapping against the correct table.
Inspect connectors for physical damage before splicing.
Always solder and heat-shrink splices to prevent corrosion and maintain signal quality.
If swapping brands and the reading is unstable, verify that all connections are secure and that there is no moisture intrusion in the cable.
