Troubleshooting

Monitor will not power on

Probable Cause / Corrective Action

  1. Blown Console Fuse
    1. Check Fuse (located near battery connection)
    2. If needed, replace with 7.5A fuse maximum.
    3. If the fuse blows again, check all harnesses for pinches or breaks that may cause power to short to ground.
  2. Poor Battery Connection
    1. Be sure connections are clean and tight
    2. Inspect harness for damage
  3. Low Battery Voltage
    1. Console voltage must be at least 10v
    2. If low recharge or replace battery.
  4. Defective Console
    1. Contact Agri-Tronix for possible repair.

Row failure or HI/LOW alarm when row is planting properly

PROBABLE CAUSE / CORRECTIVE ACTION

  1. Seed sensor coated with dirt
    1. Clean sensor using a dry bottle brush
  2. Faulty sensor or harness
    1. Trigger sensor while observing troubleshooting LED.
    2. If sensor does not have LED, swap harness connection with adjacent sensor to determine if sensor or harness is damaged.
    3. Replace sensor or harness.
  3. Defective console
    1. Console is damaged.
    2. Contact your Agri-Tronix.

Hopper alarm does not sound when hopper is empty

PROBABLE CAUSE / CORRECTIVE ACTION

  1. Faulty sensor or harness open.
    1. Swap harness connection with another sensor to determine if sensor or harness is damaged. Use service screen if another sensor is not available.
    2. Replace sensor or repair harness.
  2. Defective console
    1. Console is damaged.
    2. Contact your Agri-Tronix.

Hopper alarm sounds when hopper is full

PROBABLE CAUSE / CORRECTIVE ACTION

  1. Faulty sensor or harness open.
    1. Swap harness connection with another sensor to determine if sensor or harness is damaged. Use service screen if another sensor is not available.
    2. Replace sensor or repair harness.
  2. Defective console
    1. Console is damaged.
    2. Contact your Agri-Tronix.

System voltage alarm

PROBABLE CAUSE / CORRECTIVE ACTION

  1. Low battery voltage
    1. Console voltage must be at least 10 V.
    2. If low, recharge or replace battery.
  2. Poor battery connection
    1. Be sure connections are clean and tight.
    2. Inspect harness for damage.
  3. Damaged harness
    1. Check all harnesses for pinches or breaks that may cause power or 8 V-sensor power short to ground.

Accessory alarm sounding when shaft, fan, or flow is working

PROBABLE CAUSE / CORRECTIVE ACTION

  1. Sensor failure
    1. Shaft, fan, or flow sensor not operation.
    2. Replace defective sensors.
  2. Wrong calibration number
    1. Sensor calibration number is incorrect.
    2. Check calibration number in accessory setup screen.
  3. Incorrect limits
    1. Sensor limits are incorrect.
    2. Check limits in accessory setup screen.
  4. Defective console
    1. Console is damaged.
    2. Contact your Agri-Tronix.

Ground speed alarm sounds with forward movement

PROBABLE CAUSE / CORRECTIVE ACTION

  1. Ground speed sensor failure.
    1. No ground speed sensor is detected, or planting is detected on at least one row with no ground speed.
    2. Replace faulty ground speed sensor.
  2. Console Failure
    1. Console is damaged.
    2. Contact your Agri-Tronix.

Ground speed high alarm sounding

PROBABLE CAUSE / CORRECTIVE ACTION

  1. Ground speed alarm set too low.
    1. Set ground speed alarm limit higher or to zero to disable.
  2. Incorrect ground speed constant
    1. Ground speed sensor has not been calibrated, RADAR sensor angle has changed, or incorrect sensor constant is entered.
    2. Use SPEED, AREA, DISTANCE mode to determine if speed is correct.
    3. If incorrect, recalibrate speed constant (Speed Setup Screen).

Self-test alarm

PROBABLE CAUSE / CORRECTIVE ACTION

  1. Seed sensor coated with dirt.
    1. Clean sensor using dry bottle brush
  2. Faulty sensor or harness
    1. Trigger sensor and observe troubleshooting LED. If sensor does not have LED, swap harness connection with adjacent sensor to determine if sensor or harness is damaged.
    2. Replace sensor or harness.
